The starting of the company was sparked by a deep passion for ornithology among a small group of Ugandan birdwatchers and conservationists. The founders recognized that Uganda, with its diverse ecosystems ranging from tropical rainforests and savannas to high-altitude mountains, was home to an extraordinary variety of bird species — over 1,000, including several rare and endemic species.
