  • Day 1
    Transfer from Kampala to Lake Mburo National Park. Stop at the equator for photography before continuing the journey. Enjoy a game drive enroute and view animals such as Zebra, Impala, and Uganda kob. In the afternoon, take a boat ride on Lake Mburo to view hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, and water birds. Dinner and overnight at Mantana luxury tented camp, Muhingo lodge, or Rwonyo camp.
  • Day 2
    Morning nature walk in Lake Mburo National Park followed by an enroute game drive. Continue the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park with views of plains and evergreen plantations. Enjoy an afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel to see reptiles, hippos, and various bird species. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge, Jacana Safari Lodge, or Institute of Ecology.
  • Day 3
    Early morning game drive to spot lions, leopards, bush bucks, hyenas, and other wildlife. After a late breakfast, relax before heading to Kyabura Gorge for chimpanzee tracking and spotting other primates like monkeys and baboons. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
  • Day 4
    Morning drive to Lake Bunyonyi, passing through the Ishasha sector to see tree-climbing lions and various birds. Continue to Kabale for a scenic experience in the "Switzerland of Africa". Dinner and overnight at Arcadia Cottages, Haburaro Island Camp, or Bushara Island Camp.
  • Day 5
    After breakfast, go for a cultural walk around Lake Bunyonyi and visit the Batwa tribe. Enjoy a canoe ride with scenic views of surrounding islands and terraced hills. Dinner and overnight at Habuharo Island Camp, Arcadia Cottages, or Bunyonyi Overland Resort.
  • Day 6
    Transfer to the Rwanda border and cross over. Take a scenic drive to Kinigi, where you will visit the genocide memorial. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Nest Lodge, Kinigi Guest House, or Muhavura Lodge.
  • Day 7
    Early morning briefing at the park headquarters before embarking on the gorilla tracking adventure. The trek will take 2-6 hours to meet the gorillas. After spending an hour with them, return to the lodge for relaxation. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.
  • Day 8
    In the morning, hike to the Karisoke Research Center, where Dian Fossey studied mountain gorillas. Learn about gorilla behavior and conservation efforts. In the afternoon, visit Lake Kivu in Gisenyi for a boat cruise with views of surrounding islands and hills. Relax on the lakeside beach. Dinner and overnight at Lake Kivu Serena Hotel.
  • Day 9
    Transfer to Kigali for a city tour. Visit the genocide memorial center, markets, and museum. Relax at your hotel before dinner and overnight stay.
  • Day 10
    After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kanombe International Airport for your flight to your next destination.

    In the morning, depart from Kampala southwestward to Lake Mburo National Park. You will have a stopover at the equator for photography before continuing the enjoyable journey to Lake Mburo National Park, a home of Zebra, Impala, Uganda Kob, and many more. You will have a game drive enroute which will reward you with a view of those animals and many more. You will have an afternoon boat ride on Lake Mburo which will reward you with views of hippos, crocodiles, buffalo, and many more as well as water birds. Check in at Mantana Luxury Tented Camp/Muhingo Lodge/Rwonyo Camp for dinner and overnight.
  • Day 2
    In the morning, you will have a nature walk before leaving the park. You will have an enroute game drive where you will be able to see more animals that you may have missed seeing the previous day. The journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park will usher you with a beautiful view of plain land and evergreen plantations in Ankole. You will have an enroute game drive as you enter the park where you will see animals like elephants, buffaloes, mongoose, and many others. In the afternoon, have a launch cruise at the Kazinga Channel where you will have a view of reptiles and many other game such as hippos, and a variety of bird species will be rewarding for the birders. Dinner and overnight at Luxurious Mweya Safari Lodge/Jacana Safari Lodge/Institute of Ecology.
  • Day 3
    You will have an early morning game drive to catch up with early risers, where you will be rewarded with a view of animals like the lion, leopard, bush buck, hyenas, and many others. Return to the lodge for a late breakfast and relax. After lunch, you will drive to Kyabura Gorge for chimpanzee tracking adventure as well as other primates like monkeys and baboons. This exciting adventure will sanctify you with the amazing apes playing in the fruiting forest. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
  • Day 4
    In the morning after your breakfast, you will set off for Lake Bunyonyi, passing via Ishasha sector, where you will have a game drive and see tree-climbing lions and a variety of birds. Continue to Kabale, referred to as the “Switzerland of Africa”. Dinner and overnight at Arcadia Cottages/Habuharo Island Camp/Bushara Island Camp.
  • Day 5
    After your beautiful breakfast, you will proceed for a cultural walk on Lake Bunyonyi, where there are a number of villages. You will visit the Batwa tribe, also known as the pygmies, who walk over from Rwanda Mountains to bring their agricultural produce to the market. You will enjoy a canoe ride on the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi, with a scenic view of the surrounding islands and well-terraced hills. Dinner and overnight stay at Habuharo Island Camp/Arcadia Cottages/Bunyonyi Overland Resort.
  • Day 6
    After your breakfast, you will move to the Rwanda border and cross over to Rwanda. Drive a scenic journey to Kinigi where you will visit the genocide memorial. Dinner and overnight at luxurious Gorilla Nest Lodge/Kinigi Guest House/Muhavura Lodge.
  • Day 7
    Early in the morning, you will move to the park headquarters together with packed lunch and trekking gear where you will get a briefing about the dos and don’ts with the gorillas. Proceed for the memorable and most exciting adventure in the forest. This will take you through thick vegetation and muddy and slippery ground, and may take you 2-6 hours to meet the amazing apes. A maximum of one hour will be allowed to be with the gorillas, and this will pay you a lot despite the strenuous activity. Retreat to your lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.
  • Day 8
    In the morning, you will hike to Karisoke Research Center, established by Dian Fossey, who spent many years researching about the mountain gorillas and conserving them before she was killed, and is buried there. You will learn much about the gorillas’ history and their behavior. In the afternoon, drive to Lake Kivu in Gisenyi, where you will have a boat cruise on the lake with a view of surrounding islands and hills. Relax on the beautiful beach on the shores of the lake. Dinner and overnight at Lake Kivu Serena Hotel.
  • Day 9
    After your relaxed breakfast, you will transfer to Kigali where you will have a tour around the city, visit the genocide memorial center, the markets, the museum, and other places. Relax at your hotel as you wait for dinner and overnight stay.
  • Day 10
    This day is reserved for departure. After your relaxed breakfast, and lunch if before schedule, you will be transferred to Kanombe International Airport for your flight to your next destination.
