This 8-day safari adventure takes you through some of Uganda's most iconic national parks, offering an unforgettable wildlife experience. From the powerful Murchison Falls to the primate-filled forests of Kibale, the scenic beauty of Queen Elizabeth National Park, and the breathtaking gorilla tracking in Bwindi, this journey offers a diverse exploration of Uganda's natural wonders. Along the way, you'll encounter Africa's majestic wildlife, including lions, elephants, gorillas, and a variety of bird species, while also experiencing the rich cultural heritage of local communities. Prepare for a mix of thrilling game drives, boat cruises, nature walks, and immersive cultural experiences in the heart of East Africa.

  • Day 1
    Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park. After breakfast, enjoy a scenic drive through the Luweero triangle, with a visit to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Have lunch in Masindi before continuing to Murchison Falls. Visit the top of the falls for a breathtaking view of the Nile. Dinner and overnight at your selected lodge (Paraa Safari Lodge/Sambiya River Camp/Red Chili Hotel).
  • Day 2
    Wake up early for a morning game drive in Murchison Falls NP. View a variety of wildlife such as lions, giraffes, elephants, and more. After lunch, enjoy a boat cruise along the Nile, spotting hippos, crocodiles, and numerous bird species. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
  • Day 3
    Transfer to Kibale National Park. En-route, visit the Nakayima Tree in Mubende and the Amabere Ganyina Mwiru caves in Fort Portal. Dinner and overnight at Mountain of the Moon Hotel, Ndali Lodge, or Primates Lodge.
  • Day 4
    In the morning, head to Kibale Forest for chimpanzee tracking, where you will also encounter other primates such as colobus and vervet monkeys. Afterward, explore Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for bird watching and animal sightings. Return to Fort Portal for dinner and overnight.
  • Day 5
    Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park with an en-route game drive. Arrive in time for an afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, known for its large hippo population and diverse bird species. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge, Jacana Safari Camp, or Samba Safari Lodge.
  • Day 6
    After an early breakfast, enjoy a game drive in Ishasha Sector, famous for tree-climbing lions. Then, proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Arrive in the evening for dinner and overnight at Gorillas Guest Hotel, Lake Kitandara, or Buhoma Community Bandas.
  • Day 7
    This is the highlight of the trip: gorilla tracking! After a briefing, trek through the forest to encounter the majestic gorillas. Depending on their movement, the trek may take 2-6 hours. Spend one hour with the gorillas before descending to your lodge for lunch. In the evening, enjoy a community walk to the Batwa people. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
  • Day 8
    After breakfast, begin your return journey to Kampala. Stop at the Equator for photos and explore local craft markets before continuing your journey. Arrive in Kampala in the afternoon, with transfers to your hotel or the airport for your departure.
  • Day 1
    Transfer to Murchison falls NP:   In the morning, you will be picked from the hotel and begin a scenic drive to Murchison falls national park, passing through the famous Luweero triangle. You may visit the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary before River Kafu bridge. Lunch will be taken from Masindi before continuing to Murchison. You will drive to the top of the falls to enjoy a breathtaking view of the mighty Nile squeezing itself through a narrow gauge and plummeting down 43m into the rocks, forming a fluorescent spray. Then transfer to your Paraa Safari Lodge/Sambiya River Camp/Red Chili Hotel for dinner and overnight.
  • Day 2
    Game Drive and Boat Cruise:  In the morning, you will wake up early to go for a morning game drive to catch up with early risers and predators before they return to their hiding places. View game such as lions, leopards, giraffes, elephants, bush bucks, water hogs, hyenas, buffalos, and many more. Return to the hotel for relaxation. In the afternoon, you will move to the north of the Nile River for the boat cruise. You will have a fantastic view of water birds and several other species, as well as hippos, crocodiles, and many other reptiles. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.
  • Day 3
    Transfer to Kibale National Park:   In the morning, you will drive a scenic journey to the beautiful town of Fort Portal. You will visit the Nakayima tree enroute in Mubende, and “Amabere Ganyina Mwiru” in Fort Portal. Dinner and overnight at Mountain of the Moon Hotel/Ndali Lodge/Primates Lodge.
  • Day 4
    Chimpanzee tracking and nature walk:   In the morning, you will drive to Kibale Forest National Park, and enter the forest in search of the chimpanzees. You will also meet the colobus monkeys, vervet monkeys, baboons, and many more. Enjoy the view of the primates as they play in the fruiting trees. You will also see elephants and other animals. In the afternoon, you will move to Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary where you will see a variety of bird species and other animals. Return to Fort Portal for dinner and overnight at your hotel.
  • Day 5
    Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park:   In the morning, you will transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, with a game drive enroute the park where you will see game such as buffalos, elephants, antelopes, and many others. Reach early enough to enjoy the boat cruise in the afternoon at the Kazinga Channel, where you will have an opportunity to see schools of hippos, crocodiles, and many other animals along the banks, as well as a variety of birds like the kingfisher, the shoebill stork, the heron, etc. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge/Jacana Safari Camp/Samba Safari Lodge.
  • Day 6
    Game Drive and transfer to Bwindi:   After your early breakfast, you will go for a game drive in the Ishasha sector, where you will see animals like lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos, as well as a variety of bird species. You will also see tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector. Continue to Bwindi, reaching in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Gorillas Guest Hotel/Lake Kitandara/Buhoma Community Bandas.
  • Day 7
    Gorilla tracking Adventure:   This is the memorable day, where you will track the amazing giants. Move to the park headquarters in the morning for a briefing about the dos and don’ts while with the animals. Head into the forest for the trekking adventure, where you will move through thick and slippery trails. Trekking may take 2-6 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. Meet and stay in the presence of the gorillas for a maximum of one hour, then descend to your hotel for lunch and relaxation. In the evening, you will take a community walk to the Batwa community, where you will get entertained and learn about their unique culture. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.
  • Day 8
    Back to Kampala:   In the morning after breakfast, you will begin the drive back to Kampala, with an enroute stopover for lunch and photography at the equator and local craft markets for African crafts. Reach Kampala in the afternoon, and transfer to your hotel or to the airport for departure in case the flight is on schedule.
